Premier League Preview: Can Liverpool Return to Winning Ways?

Prepare yourself for a title run in of epic proportions.
Liverpool, Manchester City, and now Tottenham are all in the midst of one of the most enthralling battles for the crown we have ever had the pleasure of witnessing.
As we head into fixture week 26 in England, it is a good time to point out that the weekend football fixtures predictions across all leagues leave for plenty of opportunity in the betting markets as the pressure mounts on those near the top and bottom.
Just ask Liverpool.
It wasn’t so long ago that Jurgen Klopp’s men held a brief nine point lead at the top of the Premier League but that has now been eradicated and Manchester City and Tottenham are in overdrive mode to derail the Liverpool freight train.
However, after a run of just two wins in their last five Premier League outings, the Reds welcome an inconsistent Bournemouth side to Anfield knowing only victory will do in their quest for the title.
They should get the job done too having hammered the Cherries 4-0 at the Vitality Stadium back in December.
Eddie Howe’s men have only won four of their last seventeen games in all competitions and although one of those wins was a 4-0 victory over Chelsea, it is clear that the Cherries early season form has abandoned them.
It will be tight and nervy and likely to only be a single goal in it but expect the Reds to shut out Bournemouth in an edgy 1-0.
So, what other games could have a key impact on the Premier League this weekend?
Spurs to Pile on the Pressure
Imagine what Tottenham could have achieved if they had made some signings in either transfer window?
Spurs have been written off more times this season than a dodgy second-hand car, but they keep on winning and it is making everyone outside Wembley very nervous.
When Dele Alli and Harry Kane suffered injuries and it became clear they would not be back until March the death knell was rung, but in stepped Son Heung-min and ten goals from his last 14 games has propelled the Lilywhites into a title fight no one thought they had the right to be involved in.
Leicester City are the opponents this weekend and the signs do not look good for the Foxes.
Winless in any competition since New Years Day, the pressure is on manager Claude Puel while the shackles are off Tottenham.
A 2-0 home win is the prediction in this one as Tottenham once again nip at the heels of the top two.
Can Silva Survive
Much like Claude Puel, Everton boss Marco Silva is a man under pressure as the Toffee’s have been unable to click this season despite heavy investment.
A defeat to Watford at the weekend may spell the end for the former Hornets boss in a cruel twist of fate.
However, with the two sides so well matched, a 1-1 draw is the way to go in this one to give Silva something of a reprieve for another week at least.
