 Vienna's Ernst-Happel-Stadion is graded in the UEFA list of recognised stadiums as a five-star venue.

It has up to 50,000 covered seats and, after some general renovation work, now meets all the latest guidelines in terms of technology and infrastructure. It has often been used to stage finals of international competitions, including the 1994/95 UEFA Champions League final. The stadium is situated in the Prater, one of Vienna's largest recreation areas, in the immediate vicinity of the Danube.

The stadium has excellent transport connections. It is close to the international airport of Vienna-Schwechat, can be reached by tram or bus, and will have its own underground connection to the city of Vienna by 2007.
